Tentacles for Tinies

Tentacles for Tinies are specially designed and crocheted by the Rotunda Knitters Volunteer Group. The octopus resembles the umbilical cord and its tentacles are small enough for tiny hands to hold whilst in an incubator. Parents of each premature baby are given a male and a female octopus set with information on usage and washing instructions for hygiene control. Babies requiring humidity upon admission to NICU will not receive their octopus until safe to do so after humidity is discontinued.
